About Dr Santanu Baruah

Dr Santanu (Sunny) Baruah was trained in The United Kingdom (London and Birmingham) as a Gynaecologist with a special interest in infertility, general gynaecology and advanced laparoscopic surgery. For clinical work and surgical excellence, the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) and American Association of Gynaecology Laparosscpist (AAGL) in the United States awarded him the “Centre of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Surgery Award” (COEMIG) in 2015 and 2018.
Beginning his fertility career in CRM, St Bartholomew’s Hospital and London Fertility Centre, Harley Street, London, Sunny migrated to Perth in 2009. He has extensive experience in managing various gynaecological problems such as menstrual disorders, PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, prolapse and pelvic pain.
He practices Gynaecology at WaGynaescope at Joondalup Private Hospital and has a keen interest in minimal-access gynaecological surgery. He’s also proficient in a wide range of complex laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries. He is accredited to perform (level 5/6) advanced gynaecological laparoscopy surgeries.
Santanu’s credentials include: Fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists; Fellow of The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK; Member of The American Association of Gynaecologic Laparoscopists, Member of The European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.
