Celebrating World Embryology Day

The 25th July is World Embryology Day and marks the day in 1978 when the world’s first IVF baby, Louise Joy Brown, was born. The science has come a long way since that day and it is days like today which remind us to celebrate the significant scientific advancements, the success we have achieved and the hard work undertaken by our teams of skilled embryologists to get there. Embryologists work tirelessly behind the scenes in the Adora labs to ensure that every patient is given the best opportunity to become a parent. Performing all the skilled scientific processes involved in fertility treatment such as egg and sperm selection, fertilisation, embryo culture and vitrification (freezing), they are the ones caring for those precious eggs, sperm and embryos, keeping them safe and doing all they can so the fertilised eggs can develop into beautiful embryos ready for transfer. Today we thank our wonderful laboratory teams who make parenthood possible for so many of our patients.
