About Dr Shanthi Srinivasan
Dr Shanthi Srinivasan is a highly experienced Gynaecologist, Obstetrician & Fertility Specialist who joined Adora Fertility in 2023, with over 20 years’ experience in reproductive medicine and over 30 years' experience in women's health. She is passionate about all aspects of subfertility including reproductive endocrinology, reproductive surgery, embryology, PCOS, male subfertility/azoospermia and recurrent pregnancy loss.
Her wealth of experience extends to laparoscopy and hysteroscopy procedures (minimal invasive surgery), that covers advanced endometriosis, ovarian cysts, fibroid/keyhole surgery, hysteroscopic myomectomy, septoplasty & preimplantation genetic diagnosis, and ultransonography. As well as working for Adora, Dr Shanthi works as a consultant (OBG) at Rockingham and Osborne Park public hospitals on a locum basis.
Shanthi graduated from Kilpauk Medical College Hospital in India. She completed advanced obstetric and gynaecological training in 1994 from the prestigious King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, India. In 1995 she commenced as a Specialist and Lecturer at Sri Ramachandra Medical University (SRMU) in Chennai, India. There she worked for nearly 13 years’ gathering a vast amount of experience in complex pelvic surgery, endoscopic surgery, high risk obstetrics, gynaecological ultrasound & gynaecological oncology. She was an esteemed teaching faculty member of SRMU and was invited to serve as an external examiner for MBBS, MD and Diploma medical students at other universities. Dr Shanthi is now a qualified subspecialist in reproductive medicine and embryology, having trained at the Institute of Reproductive Medicine and Women’s Health (IRM&WH), Madras Medical Mission, Chennai, India before moving to Australia in 2008.
From 2010 to 2014, Dr Shanthi worked at the Royal Hobart Hospital in Tasmania in order to complete the requirements for her fellowship, which she obtained from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2014. Dr Shanthi went on to work as a highly respected Gynaecologist and IVF Specialist at PIVET, where she also mentored international IVF specialists, before joining Adora Fertility.
Working closely with her patients to develop personalized treatment plans, Dr Shanthi is committed to meeting their unique needs and goals. She believes in empowering her patients with knowledge and supporting them throughout their reproductive journey. Her warm and friendly approach makes her patients feel comfortable and at ease, and her expertise ensures that they receive the highest quality of care.
Shanthi is fluent in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. In her spare time, she loves yoga, meditation, reading, travelling and cooking.
