Dr Julie Whitehead is a fertility specialist with over 25 years experience helping individuals and couples achieve their goal of growing their families. She studied medicine at Melbourne University and completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mercy and the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne. As part of her Masters in Reproductive Medicine, she conducted research into the fertility of women undergoing chemotherapy.

Skilled in all areas of infertility, Dr Julie believes in partnering with you on your fertility journey and working together so that you have the best possible chance of success. A good listener, Dr Julie will take the time to get to you know you, understand your medical history, needs and goals and will tailor a treatment plan to suit your unique situation. Her skills, experience and warm and genuine nature will place you in the very best of care.

Dr Julie's special area of interest is Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). In addition to consulting at Adora Fertility, Dr Julie is a specialist at the PCOS clinic at the Royal Women’s Hospital, a position she has held for over 20 years. Her expertise and passion for this condition has led to her helping hundreds of women manage their symptoms through lifestyle modification and, with the right treatment, achieve a healthy pregnancy outcome.

Motivated by the innovations and improvements to IVF outcomes that she has seen throughout her career, Dr Julie not only loves working in the field of reproductive medicine but finds it incredibly rewarding. Her biggest motivation and the best part of her role is meeting the babies she has helped create. She is truly grateful to her patients who have trusted her with their care.
