If you have private health insurance then the cost of your IVF treatment at Adora Fertility may be reduced further.
Every health fund is different so we recommend contacting your health fund to check whether they cover IVF and if so, what rebates are available to you based on your level of cover. If you don’t already have private health insurance, make sure you check a couple of things before you purchase. Firstly, if there are any restrictions on your eligibility and secondly, whether any waiting periods apply for pre-existing conditions.
Private health insurance typically covers day hospital expenses such as the day surgery fee and the anaesthetist fee, and any medications not covered by Medicare. To check if your health fund covers you, you will need to let them know the Medicare item numbers. The Medicare item number for the day surgery fee is 13212 and the Medicare item number for the anaesthetist fee is 20943.
